A new cooperation between Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) and Ben’s Cookies, a British cookie and dessert brand, will bring the latter to the Indian market. Established in 1983 in the Covered Market of Oxford, Ben’s Cookies is well-known for its bakery-led retail style and its freshly baked cookies. Milk Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate & Macadamia, Ginger & Dark, and an eggless variety will be among the flavours offered when the brand launches in India as a result of the agreement.

The business has announced that its stores will implement a live-oven baking model, with an emphasis on artisanal preparation and in-store freshness. There will be cookie ice cream sandwiches, cookie frappuccinos, and cookie shakes available at the stores.

A key milestone in DS Group’s strategic expansion within the premium food retail sector has been achieved with the arrival of Ben’s cookies in India,” stated Sanskriti Gupta, Ben’s Cookies India. Combining DS Group’s deep knowledge of the Indian palate and the ever-changing customer preferences with a forty-year tradition of artisanal baking, we are thrilled to bring a bit of British heritage to the Indian market. We want to open eight to ten brick-and-mortar locations across India this fiscal year as part of our strong retail expansion strategy, which is a key component of DS Group’s growth goals for Ben’s Cookies in India.

“To ensure our traditional, quality standards are mirrored in India, every Ben’s Cookies boutique will feature a live-oven baking fresh batches throughout the day,” stated Luke Menezes, spokesperson for Ben’s Cookies. In addition to our famous cookies, we are excited to share a variety of tasty delights, such as cookie ice cream sandwiches, rich cookie shakes, and coffees. The chance to collaborate with DS Group is an incredible blessing, and we can’t wait to establish ourselves as an integral element of the Indian dessert.

This collaboration is happening in India at the same time that there is a surge in demand for high-quality, artisanal desserts. According to the company’s projections, the value of the local cookie market will rise from USD 1.3 billion in 2024 to USD 2.3 billion in 2033.
