The long-running Chinese restaurant Golden Dragon, owned by IHCL, has made its North Indian debut at the Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa in Delhi NCR. Golden Dragon initially opened its doors in 1973 at The Taj Mahal Palace and is famous for its Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine. Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa is currently undergoing a makeover and expanding its food and drink offerings, which includes the opening of a new restaurant.
Executive Chef Anuj Mathur of the Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa in Delhi NCR and Hong Kong’s Chef Tong Sing Wah are in charge of the culinary program. The menu features a variety of dishes that draw inspiration from traditional Chinese cooking methods and flavours, such as dim sum, soups, seafood, noodles, and desserts.
The interior design of the restaurant draws inspiration from Oriental styles, with touches of green and gold, plum blossom motifs, and artworks inspired by Guohua, a kind of Chinese art. Private dining rooms are available at the location for business and social events.
Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa, Delhi NCR’s Hotel Manager Ramneet Singh commented on the launch, saying, “As Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa, Delhi NCR continues its transformation journey, the launch of Golden Dragon marks an important step in strengthening our culinary and destination-led offerings.”
We are excited to bring one of IHCL’s most famous restaurant chains to the Capital area so that our guests can enjoy an even more elevated resort experience, built on a decades-long tradition of delicious food.
The exquisite Chinese culinary traditions, careful craftsmanship, and rich flavours of Golden Dragon have long been lauded by Chef Anuj Mathur of the Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa in Delhi NCR. Wok hei, delicate broths, and precise steaming are some of the time-honoured methods used in our kitchen to create dishes that are layered, balanced, and graceful. We are excited to share the flavours of Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine with guests at Golden Dragon.
This new location takes Golden Dragon beyond Mumbai and further establishes IHCL as a premium dining option in the Delhi NCR area.
