The Leela Centre of Excellence (LCoE) is a talent development project launched by the Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. Its goal is to bolster the company’s learning ecosystem throughout operations and support its expansion aspirations.

More than 3,000 associates throughout its hospitality portfolio are slated to be inducted, trained, and developed as part of the program, which will support its planned development from 15 to 24 hotels over the next three years.

The GD Goenka School of Hospitality & Culinary Management now houses the LCoE, a program that was created in collaboration with Le Cordon Bleu and GD Goenka University. Designed for leadership development and hospitality training, the center’s residential amenities, training kitchens, theatre, and classrooms cover about 9,600 sq. ft.

Leadership development, operational excellence, culinary advancement, and service standards will be the primary areas of emphasis under the program, as stated by the corporation. A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality degree is one of the program’s structured academic tracks; others include certifications from Le Cordon Bleu and GD Goenka University, as well as an alignment with NEP 2020.

The Leela Centre of Excellence (LCoE) launch signifies a significant milestone in enhancing the basis of our expansion, according to Anuraag Bhatnagar, Chief Executive Officer of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. “As we celebrate four decades of True Indian Luxury,” he added.

Programs like leadership development, culinary training, service excellence programs, and operational capability-building will benefit over six hundred fifty employees and managers each year, according to the corporation.

In addition, the Leela’s current talent programs—the Leela Leadership Development Programme, the Leela Palace Services Programme, and the Leela Executive Accelerated Development Programme—will all be housed within the LCoE.
