Located at Ireo Grand View High Street, Sector 58, Gurgaon, Cha & Co. is the newest culinary and drink venture by CYK Hospitalities. The idea draws inspiration from Japanese culture.
In an industry where coffee-led formats are still very much in vogue, the new location is positioning itself as a café that specialises on matcha. The concept’s beverage and culinary offerings revolve around matcha, with a focus on using high-quality ingredients and preserving cultural authenticity.
Ayushi Sharma and Amogh Sharma established Cha & Co. with the goal of providing the Indian market with ceremonial-grade matcha experiences through reliable sourcing, preparation, and presentation.
In 2024, Ayushi Sharma said that she struggled to get many high-quality, genuine matcha experiences in India. We wanted to create a place where people could experience the art, ritual, and quality of matcha on a daily basis, so we came up with Cha & Co.
“Our goal with Cha & Co. is to provide Indians with the finest matcha experience in the world,” Amogh Sharma continued. We do this by meticulously sourcing our matcha from the most venerable farms in Uji, Japan. We strive to ensure that every cup served at Cha & Co. is of the highest quality and that we never skimp on it.
Project assistance was provided by CYK Hospitalities in the following areas: ideation, menu planning, recruiting, training, food trials, SOPs, and design direction.
Pulkit Arora, CYK Hospitalities’ Director and Culinary Expert, and Simranjeet Singh, CYK Hospitalities’ Director, both agreed that the idea fills a need in the café industry, and that the project’s foundation was a cohesive product and customer experience.
