With its recognition in the DLC Guide 2026, Bengaluru Edition for Excellence in Fine eating, LOYA at Taj West End Bengaluru has solidified its status as one of the city’s premier eating establishments.

The restaurant’s menu draws inspiration from the northern plains and Himalayan foothills, and the accolades show how much they value North Indian culinary traditions. The menu, spearheaded by Grand Chef Rajesh Wadhwa, combines time-honoured recipes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and tried-and-true cooking methods.

According to Taljinder Singh, Senior Vice President and Brand Custodian: “LOYA is envisioned not merely as a restaurant, but as a holistic journey—where every detail, from the cadence of the music and the artistry of the cocktails to the authenticity of the architecture and the grace of the service, harmoniously converges to create indelible moments.” Being acknowledged in the DLC Guide’s 2026 Bengaluru Edition is a remarkable confirmation of this comprehensive goal.

“Our vision has always been to present the authentic flavours and timeless culinary narratives of the Himalayan foothills,” Rajesh Wadhwa, Grand Chef at LOYA, stated. A deep sense of place and memory is evoked in each meal by painstakingly composing it using traditional techniques and heritage products. The DLC Guide’s recognition of this attitude is very encouraging, and we are grateful for the respect bestowed to our culinary staff for their skill. What they do is representative of LOYA as a whole: a reverence for tradition, genuine ingredients, and top-notch cooking.
