The Resort at Kapalua Bay on Maui, Hawaii, is now part of Marriott International’s luxury portfolio thanks to a partnership with Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners. The resort is set to become part of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts once renovations are finished in 2027.
Guests are welcome to stay at the property during the transition when Marriott takes over administration. With 146 ocean view multi-bedroom apartments created with residential-style layouts and hospitality services, this oceanfront property encompasses approximately 25 acres and is located on Maui’s northwest coast inside the greater Kapalua Resort complex. Dana Jacobsohn, Chief Development Officer, Global Mixed Use and Luxury, North America, at Marriott International, expressed her pride in working with Kemmons Wilson on the growth of this great resort. “This agreement reflects our continued momentum in growing a best-in-class luxury resort portfolio that resonates with today’s discerning luxury traveller. Kapalua Bay is one of the most iconic leisure destinations in the world.”
Looking forward to St. Regis’s arrival to Kapalua Bay, KWHP is overjoyed. “Our vision has always been to continuously elevate the quality, service, and care that define the guest experience here,” stated Webb Wilson, CIO at KWHP, when asked about the company’s investment in this remarkable resort.
Resort features include residential-style suites with 1,774–4,050 square feet of living space, direct beach access, several outdoor pools, fitness centers, conference rooms, and access to adjacent golf and tennis courts.
Marriott already manages around 30 facilities in Hawai’i and has six more in development, so this partnership will only increase their presence there.
